MEET REVEREND KEFENTSE RISHER

Kefentse Risher

Rev. Kefentse Risher is the pastor of First United Methodist Church in College Station.  Prior to serving the College Station charge, he served as pastor of Pleasant Grove UMC in Huntsville, Texas, and Sweeny Circuit in Sweeny, Texas.
His personal philosophy and passion is re-thinking faith to understand that our God wants everyone to find their purpose through open and honest exploration of the soul. With Proverbs 29:18 as his inspiration, Kefentse (pronounced Kuh-fence-say) created “The Vision Project Podcast” as an additional arm of ministry to help inspire and equip people with the mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual tools needed to find direction and walk in their divine destiny no matter where they are in life.
Through in-depth teaching, practical preaching, and heart for individuals from all walks of life, it is his truest desire that we tap into the power of God within and use it to break habits that keep us from realizing our highest potential in Christ.
Some of Pastor Risher’s ministry accomplishments include:
 * Recipient of NAACP Community Service Award from the Huntsville Trinity Chapter
 * Recipient of the 2022 Copeland Award for Evangelism from the Texas Annual Conference of the UMC
 * Recipient of Proclamation from the Mayor of the City of Huntsville declaring November 7, 2021, as Rev. Kefentse Risher Appreciation Day
